Anyone can use Lean Six Sigma, regardless of their age. What Will You Learn as a High School Student?
Students and institutions must decide whether they wish to pursue a higher-level belt, depending on their availability. For a green belt, a yellow belt is required, after all, and if you don’t have a yellow belt yet, there’s not much to choose from when picking one of the courses or belts available.
Students have only two options: yellow and green belts.
This is because higher levels require collaboration and work experience. Students can learn all they need to work with LSS in larger projects by completing the yellow and green belts alone or at least get the chance for smaller roles that are yet valuable and crucial.
It is important to consider how the student will use the method. Also, whether participation in small-scale projects as a yellow belt is enough, if a student is looking to do large-scale projects or to learn how to apply Sigma in other industries or companies, a green belt will be a great addition.
Here’s a quick overview of belt training:
- Our goal is to help yellow belts understand their responsibilities and how to handle each task. It’s about helping them improve their work habits and organize the important topics Six Signa covers.
- All of our efforts will be geared towards the team-based goals for the green belt. Can they—workers and others involved—collaborate? This belt level teaches Sigma basics and allows practitioners to manage large-scale projects with more practice and experience as it aims to inculcate all structures and the usual step to implement this methodology as a practitioner.
High School Students LSS-Certified?
If they have successfully completed our training or course, they should be eligible to receive certification.
What if they don’t have their certificate but were trained by us? To verify eligibility and check knowledge, we offer the opportunity to take the exam.
After completing a course, we have to make it possible for every student to be certified.
LSS certification will show that the course was completed and that the belt was obtained. This paper can be used for job applications and to verify future understanding.
